Abstract
Estrogens are important regulators of growth and development and contribute to the etiology of several types of cancer. Different inbred rat strains exhibit marked, cell-type-specific differences in responsiveness to estrogens as well as differences in susceptibility to estrogen-induced tumorigenesis.
