Abstract
Lattice spacing and magnetic susceptibility measurements have been made for Sm-type alloys in the GdLa, GdCe, GdPr and GdNd systems, in both the equilibrium and liquid quenched states. In all cases the liquid quenched alloys adopt the the close-packed hexagonal structure.
