Abstract
Behavioural dominance interactions were observed in captive, wintering song sparrows, null Melospiza melodia null and white-throated sparrows, null Zonotrichia albicollis , to determine the correlates of dominance status in interactions within and between these two species. In intraspecific interactions males were dominant to females in both species. Adults were dominant to immatures among white-throated sparrows but not among song sparrows....
