Abstract
This paper is an attempt to investigate the influences of enzyme (laccase) and alkali treatments on the surface lignin of single cellulose fibre. The fibre surface characteristics and the interfacial behaviour of the sisal fibre/phenolic resin composites were also studied by SEM, AFM, XPS.
