Abstract
A complete analytical solution of mode I strain energy release rate, null G I null , was derived for bonded composite joints based on an augmented double cantilever beam (DCB) model. Good agreement was obtained between current and existing comparable theoretical solutions for this joint with a long adhesive bond.
