Abstract
Atypical tetany in an infant led to the examination of the mother, who proved to be suffering from latent osteitis fibrosa and mild nephrocalcinosis. She was cured, before any symptom had appeared, by removal of a parathyroid adenoma in 1936. 19 and 30 years after the operation, follow-up X-rays of the mother were obtained.
