We study the disorder-induced phase transition of higher-order Weyl semimetals (HOWSMs) and the fate of the topological features of disordered HOWSMs. We obtain a global phase diagram of HOWSMs utilizing the scaling theory of Anderson localization. Specifically, a phase transition from the Weyl semimetal (WSM) to the HOWSM is obtained, distinguishing the disordered HOWSMs from the traditional WSMs. Furthermore, we confirm the robustness of Weyl nodes for HOWSMs. Interestingly, the unique topolog...

The recently discovered kagome metals A{}_{3}b{}_{5}(AK, Rb or Cs) have generated great interest as they exhibit an unconventional charge density wave (CDW), superconductivity, and nontrivial band topology. Here, the authors combine infrared spectroscopy and first-principles calculations to shed light on the origin of the CDW. They find that below the CDW transition the optical conductivity component associated with the saddle points is significantly suppressed, while that arising fr...

Using several material systems with various magnitudes of the interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI), we elucidate a critical influence of domain wall (DW) anisotropy on the current-induced hysteresis loop shift scheme widely employed to determine the magnitude of the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya effective field ({H}_{\mathrm{DMI}}. Taking into account the DW anisotropy in the analysis of the hysteresis loop shift, which has not been included in the original model [Phys. Rev. B 93, 1444...
