Abstract null null In this work, nano precipitates in stainless maraging steel (Custom 475) were investigated using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. In this steel, aging induces three transformation products, NiAl-B2 phase, R phase and austenite, which contribute various hardening effects dependent on the aging temperature. Abstract null null A novel procedure for parent austenite orientation reconstruction from ferrite maps generated by automatic crystal orientation mapping (ACOM)-transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is proposed and applied to a martensitic bearing-steel subjected to very high cycle fatigue. It enables to counteract the presence of indexing uncertainties in phase and orientation by assuming the appearance of 180°-rotation artefacts.

Abstract The evolution of phase composition and microstructure such as grain size, dislocation and crystallographic texture in austenite-martensite duplex Ni47Ti44Nb9 rolled sheets during the annealing was systematically investigated.
