The present work investigated the cytotoxicity of aptamer (Apt)-conjugated chitosan (CST) encapsulated mycogenic (Talaromyces purpureogenus (Tp)) gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) in human lung cancer cell line. A total of three steps were involved in the fabrication of Apt-CST-Tp-AuNPs: (i) mycogenic synthesis of Tp-AuNPs using mycelial extract of T. purpureogenus, (ii) encapsulation of the chitosan on Tp-AuNPs (CST-Tp-AuNPs), and (iii) conjugation of Apt in CST-Tp-AuNPs to form final material of Apt-...

Integrating and utilizing natural resources rationally is an important strategy for sustainable development. Herein, a novel nanoporous carbon material with rime scenery-like support was firstly established, in which waste biomass fungus bran was skillfully selected as the layered structure carbon skeletons for loading carboxymethyl cellulose derived carbon particles. The dual biomass-derived carbon with the aid of activating by KMnO4 has a unique structure and favorable electrical conductivity....

There have been numerous advancements in the early diagnosis, detection, and treatment of genetic diseases. In this regard, CRISPR technology is promising to treat some types of genetic issues. In this study, the relationship between calcium (due to its considerable physicochemical properties) and chitosan (as a natural linear polysaccharide) was investigated and optimized for pCRISPR delivery. To achieve this, different forms of calcium, such as calcium nanoparticles (CaNPs), calcium phosphate ...

A solvothermal route was developed to synthesize hierarchical TiO2 nanoflowers with tunable morphology, macroporous and mesoporous structure, and larger surface areas by varying the ratio of N,N-dimethylformamide to isopropyl alcohol without using surfactant and template. Morphology and microstructure, textural, crystalline, optical and photoelectric properties were characterized to investigate thoroughly the correlation of features and photoactivity of catalysts. The photoactivity was evaluated...

The present study designed to fabricate the silver nanoparticles from the aqueous leaf extracts of Potentilla chinensis Ser (Pc-AgNPs) and their physicochemical characterization were affirmed by spectroscopic and analytical techniques. The absorption maxima at 430 nm verified the synthesis of Pc-AgNPs. Further, the XRD spectroscopy authenticated the crystal, face-centered cubic (fcc) structure of Pc-AgNPs with the 2Ө value of 38.13°, 44.34°, 64.31° and 77.36°. FT-IR spectrum revealed the contrib...

In some applications, including the interaction of surfactants with petroleum products, the use of magnetic surfactants is a good idea for collecting the oil leaked from ships on seawater; however, the high use of these materials in various industries has resulted in environmental pollution. In this paper, first, by adding Iron (III) chloride hexahydrate (FeCl3(H2O)6), Nickel(II) chloride hexahydrate (NiCl2(H2O)6), Cobalt (II) chloride hexahydrate (CoCl2(H2O)6), surfactants of magnetic cetyltrim...

An efficient bio-conditioning of the nanomaterial for microbial inhibition and catalytic degradation has been recognized as a promising solution to protect public health and environmental safety. Herein, a bio-conditioned poly-dihydromyricetin-fused zinc nanoparticles (PDMY-Zn NPs) were designed and constructed based on a green tonic approach, which displays excellent processing efficiency against Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) as well as three dye effluents. Ir...

As an organic semiconductor, graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) nanosheets have been developed into a highly active photocatalyst for H2O splitting generating H2 under visible light irradiation condition and for reduction of CO2. The photo/electro-chemical performances are dependent on the porous structure, morphology, thickness, and crystallinity of the materials. Construction of g-C3N4 heterojunctions can be vital in enhancing catalytic performances. Instead of focusing on the photocatalysis of...
