Abstract The purpose of this study was to generate novel chitosan hydrogels (CHs) loaded with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and ampicillin (AMP) to prevent early formation of biofilms. Abstract CuO and ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized at room-temperature following a novel, direct, high-yield (>91%) and green method based on a mechanically activated metathesis reaction.
