Abstract Involved site lymphoma radiotherapy clinical target volumes (CTV) require expansion in the absence of treatment-position pre-chemotherapy PET-CT. This prospective imaging study evaluates CTV contouring for axillary lymphoma using diagnostic imaging compared with co-registered treatment-position PET-CT. Generous expansion axially and cranio-caudally is required to encompass pre-chemotherapy disease without treatment-position pre-chemotherapy PET-CT.

: Kidney transplants from young pediatric donors are uncommonly performed in the UK. Published literature of kidney transplant from donors weighing less than 5 kg is sparse. We present our initial experience of en bloc kidney transplantation (EKT) from donors weighing less than 20 kg, including neonatal donors. All recipients undergoing EKT from donors under 20 kg at our center from January 2005 to October 2016 were included. Donor and recipient details were recorded from a prospective database....

Abstract Background and purpose Involved site radiotherapy clinical target volume (CTV) for lymphoma requires an expansion to account for the absence of radiotherapy treatment-position pre-chemotherapy imaging, which is not widely implemented. This prospective imaging study aims to quantify CTV expansion required for neck radiotherapy. Materials and methods 10 patients from a prospective single centre imaging study underwent a pre-chemotherapy FDG-PET-CT in both the diagnostic and radiotherapy t...

AbstractA 66-year-old woman presents with progressive bilateral swelling of her fingers, elbows, and toes. Initially thought to represent an inflammatory peripheral arthropathy, the patient underwent rheumatology review, but subsequent tissue biopsy confirmed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Results o

Extra-gonadal yolk sac tumors (YSTs) are rare and generally associated with poor outcomes. Involvement of the seminal vesicles is extremely rare with only one previously described case. We report a case of a primary YST of the seminal vesicles and discuss the management strategy.

Aim To evaluate the impact of staging FDG PET-CT on the initial management of patients with locally advanced cervical carcinoma (LACC) and any prognostic variables predicting survival. Materials and methods Retrospective analysis of consecutive patients undergoing FDG PET-CT for staging of LACC in a single tertiary referral centre, between April 2008 and August 2011. Comparison was made between MRI and PET-CT findings and any subsequent impact on treatment intent or radiotherapy planning was eva...

Clinical Radiology 69 (2014) S1eS9 S6 HSG demonstrates the contour of the uterine cavity, the Fallopian tubes and the degree of intra-peritoneal contrast spillage. It can detect congenital anomalies, malignancies, submucosal fibroids, polyps, adhesions, adenomyosis, hydrosalpinx and SIN. The main contraindications are pregnancy, active pelvic inflammation, PV bleeding and recent uterine or tubal surgery. Complications include abdominal cramping, PV spotting, pelvic infection and contrast reactio...
