Cancer is one of the major public health issues worldwide and the global number of cancer deaths is increasing as a result of increased longevity. Despite the advancement in surgical techniques and chemoradiotherapy, millions of cancer-related deaths still occur in the affected patients despite receiving appropriate anti-cancer treatment. In addition to the cancer itself, it has been demonstrated that cardiotoxicity due to chemotherapy is one of the factors responsible for death and disability in these cancer patients.
