New improved mesoporous nanocomposite CO2 adsorbents IMSiNTs-PEI (IMP) were synthesized by improved pretreatment of natural halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) and impregnation of improved mesoporous silica nanotubes (IMSiNTs) with polyethylenimine (PEI). Abstract A series of polyethyleneimine (PEI)-impregnated MIL-101(Cr, Mg) adsorbents with different PEI loadings was synthesized in the present work.
