The article focuses on the problem of formation of digital-digital competence of pupils of general educational institutions in the process of physical education and emphasizes the need to create modern conditions for improving the physical education of the younger generation. It is proved that the purpose of education is the comprehensive development of a person as a person and the highest value of society, its talents, intellectual, creative and physical abilities, formation of values and necessary for the successful self-realization of competences. Achieving this goal is possible through the formation and development of key competencies that each one needs for personal fulfillment and life-long success. One of the ten key competences of the New Ukrainian School is the information-digital, necessary for every modern person to effectively master the latest technologies and apply them for their own needs. It is information-digital competence that implies confident and at the same time critical application of information and communication technologies by a person to create, search, process, exchange information in the educational process, in public space and in private communication; information and media literacy; Internet security skills; understanding the ethics of working with information. In today's educational space, there is a need to find effective approaches to instill in students an interest in physical education and the introduction of new technologies into the physical education system. It is information and digital technologies that should influence the increase of interest in physical education in the democratization of education. The use of computer information technology (ICT) in extracurricular activities and in lessons makes the subject of physical culture modern. Despite the fact that the lesson of physical culture is a practice, it has a place and theories. The teacher needs to find and use such teaching methods that would allow each student to show their activity, creativity, activate motor and cognitive activity. Modern pedagogical technologies, as well as the use of Internet resources, new information technologies, allow the teacher to achieve maximum results. Components of ICT are electronic, software and information components, the joint functioning of which enables us to solve the tasks of modern society. These technologies encourage students to gain a better understanding of physical education training material and a desire to improve their athletic performance.
