The population is rapidly aging [1]. Aging is associated with worsening health condition and disabilities due to the accumulation of physiologic decline and adverse effects of chronic morbidities, all leading to poor quality of life and social withdrawal [1–4]. Older adults’ needs are not only centered on illnesses but on well-being as well (i.e.; the ability of an individual to maintain a good emotional relationship with his/her environment, to assimilate positive affect and to use them to enhance functioning) [4].
