Selinexor, an orally bioavailable, first-in-class selective inhibitor of nuclear export, was United States Food and Drug Administration-approved in combination with dexamethasone for patients with penta-refractory multiple myeloma in July 2019. The United States Food and Drug Administration approval was based on results from 83 patients on the phase IIb STORM study, which showed an overall response rate (ORR) of 25% and a median duration of response of 3.8 months. 1 Vogl D.T.
