The demand for graduates having knowledge and skills on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is increasing around the world. In line with this trend, ERP teaching and education has become an important aspect in Higher Education (HE). This paper aims at identifying a suitable and effective methodology to teach ERP for undergraduate students in Mauritius. To tackle this issue, research has been carried out to identify the different method used to teach ERP around the globe and an analysis was carried out to identify the current methods used for ERP teaching in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in Mauritius. Based on the findings, a web-based simulation game was proposed and implemented. The proposed game was then evaluated using a small of undergraduate students from one tertiary institution. Based on the results, it was found that students had a better understanding of ERP concepts after using the game.
