Abstract This study is conducted to utilize waste concrete powder (WCP) made as a by-product manufacturing high quality recycled aggregate. The Blaine fineness of the WCP used was 928 and 1360 cm 2 /g. As the main characteristic of WCP, it is particle were angular similar to cement, and hydrated products were attached on the surface of particles. In addition, the particle size of WCP was larger than Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) and in terms of chemical components it had higher SiO 2 content. T...

Abstract An effective method of recycling concrete debris which allows its components to return to the construction process is wanted. This paper proposes a waste-free method of recycling concrete rubble based on thermal-mechanical treatment. The recycling process results in a high quality coarse aggregate and cement mortar. The aggregate can be used as a complete substitute of natural aggregates in concrete and gives comparable or better properties than concretes with a natural aggregate. The g...

Concrete is a building material commonly used for ages. Therefore, in the result of repairs or demolition of building structures, large amounts of concrete rubble are created, which requires appropriate management. The aim of the realized research was to determine the influence of heat and mechanical treatment of concrete rubble on the properties of recycled aggregate concrete. The research experiment included 12 series, with three variables: X1—roasting temperature (300, 600, 900 °C), X2—time o...
