• A Total Life Cycle Cost Model (TLCCM) is presented that addresses the new considerations needed for the Circular Economy. • This multi-generational costing approach can reveal downstream opportunities that are otherwise omitted in current approaches. • A demonstration of the model is shown through illustrations that show the application of the model to stakeholder decision-making. • Aims to allow stakeholders to challenge the status quo in sustainability decision-making and push to realize total life cycle cost improvement.
