Abstract
In this work, an extended isogeometric analysis (XIGA) is used for the analysis of through-thickness crack in a homogeneous and isotropic plate. In isogeometric analysis (IGA), non-uniform rational B-splines (NURBS) are used as a basis function. The plate kinematics is modelled by Reddy’s higher-order shear deformation theory (HSDT).
