Computational studies on Ir(III)-catalyzed intermolecular branch-selective allylic C–H amination of terminal olefins with methyl dioxazolone have been carried out to investigate the mechanism, including the origins of regioselectivity and catalytic activity difference. The result suggests that the reaction proceeds through generation of active species, alkene coordination, allylic C–H activation, decarboxylation, migratory insertion, and protodemetalation. The presence of AgNTf2 could thermodyna...

Employing sulfonyl azide as a nitrogen donor, a visible-light-enabled aerobic dealkylative imidation of tertiary and secondary amines involving C(sp3)–C(sp3) bond cleavage with moderate to excellent yields at room temperature is described. It has been demonstrated that this imidation could take place spontaneously upon visible-light irradiation, and could be facilitated considerably by a ruthenium photocatalyst and oxygen. An alternative mechanism to the previous aerobic photoredox pathway has a...

We designed and synthesized unsubstituted 4,4′-bibenzo[c]thiophene 4,4′-BBT and its silyl-substituted derivatives 1,1′-Si-4,4′-BBT and 1,1′,3,3′-Si-4,4′-BBT with one or two tert-butyldimethylsilyl groups on each thiophene ring, as new π-building blocks in emitters, photosensitizers and semiconductors for organic optoelectronic devices. The characterization of 4,4′-BBT, 1,1′-Si-4,4′-BBT and 1,1′,3,3′-Si-4,4′-BBT was successfully determined by FTIR, 1H and 13C NMR measurements, high-resolution mas...

A direct imination reaction was developed by tandem reaction of alcohols and nitro compounds in the presence of Cu-isatin Schiff base-γ-Fe2O3 as a nanomagnetically recyclable catalyst under solvent-free conditions. By this method, various imines were prepared in good to high yields from one-pot reaction of various alcohols (primary aromatic and aliphatic) and nitro compounds (aromatic and aliphatic) via an auto-hydrogen transfer reaction. Use of an inexpensive and easily reusable catalyst, witho...

We report chemoselective and modular peptide bioconjugation using stoichiometric amounts of 4-halocoumarin and arylsulfonate agents that undergo metal-free C(sp2)-heteroatom bond formation at micromolar concentrations. The underlying ipso-substitution click chemistry is irreversible and generates stable and inherently fluorescent bioconjugates, and the broad selection of coumarin tags offers high labeling flexibility and versatility. Different coumarins and arylsulfonates can be selectively atta...

This study presents the modification of cassava root husk-derived biochar (CRHB) with ZnO nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) for the simultaneous adsorption of As(III), Cd(II), Pb(II) and Cr(VI). By conducting batch-mode experiments, it was concluded that 3% w/w was the best impregnation ratio for the modification of CRHB using ZnO-NPs, and was denoted as CRHB-ZnO3 in this study. The optimal conditions for heavy metal adsorption were obtained at a pH of 6–7, contact time of 60 min, and initial metal concen...

Targeted HRMS2-GNPS-based metabolomic analysis of Pseudoxylaria sp. X187, a fungal antagonist of the fungus-growing termite symbiosis, resulted in the identification of two lipopeptidic congeners of xylacremolides, named xylacremolide C and D, which are built from d-phenylalanine, l-proline and an acetyl-CoA starter unit elongated by four malonyl-CoA derived ketide units. The putative xya gene cluster was identified from a draft genome generated by Illumina and PacBio sequencing and RNAseq studi...

Today, most synthetic methods are aimed at carrying out reactions under more efficient conditions and the realization of the twelve principles of green chemistry. Due to the importance and widespread applications of tetrazoles in various industries, especially in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry, and the expansion of the use of nanocatalysts in the preparation of valuable chemical reaction products, we decided to use an (Fe3O4@NFC@NSalophCu)CO2H nanocatalyst in this project. In this study, ...
