We report here the preparation of activation-free Ni electrode (i.e., eventually to the formation of NiOOH) through the enrichment of hydroxyl functional group via base-catalyzed hydrolysis reaction on “preanodized” screen printed carbon electrode. The as-prepared Ni electrode exhibits good electroanalytic performance for flow injection analysis of glucose.
