The aim of the study was to investigate immunohistochemically the expression of matrix molecules associated with periodontal tissues reformed after regenerative periodontal treatment. Chronic intrabony defects were treated with guided tissue regeneration, enamel matrix proteins, the combination of both, or access flap surgery.
