Abstract
The special energy-absorbing structure of beak protects the head of woodpecker from being hurt when pecking tree. Inspired by the micro wavy structure of the woodpecker beak, a novel bionic sinusoidal honeycomb is proposed and its crashworthiness performance is analyzed.
