Abstract
We read with keen interest the valuable comments provided by Hokama et al on the case of Strongyloides stercoralis in acute severe ulcerative colitis.1 The possibility of Strongyloides hyperinfection being the inciting factor for ulcerative colitis exacerbation was initially kept.
