Abstract
Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer, with rectal cancer accounting for 30% of cases. The current standard of care curative treatment for locally advanced rectal cancer is (chemo)radiotherapy followed by surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy.
