Abstract
Purpose: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of amniotic membrane extract eye drops (AMEEDs) in patients with persistent epithelial defects (PEDs) of the cornea.Methods: Sixteen patients with PEDs refractory to the conventional treatment were further treated with AMEEDs six times a day.
