Abstract
The mechanistic basis of microstructurally short crack paths and growth rates is investigated in Ni-based superalloy single crystals using Crystal Plasticity (CP) and eXtended Finite Element (XFEM) analyses of experimental edge-cracked samples over a range of crystal orientations.
