Abstract The chempedak fruit is part of the Moraceae family. The fruit is a syncarp, cylindrical to oblong-cylindrical, densely beset with short pyramidal prominent tubercles. The chempedak seeds are composed of 10%–25% of the fresh fruit weight, comprised mainly of carbohydrate, protein, and dietary fiber.
