Numerical investigation of a new type tube for shell-and-tube moving packed bed heat exchanger

An elliptical-like combined tube (ELCT) is proposed for the shell-and-tube moving packed bed heat exchanger. The heat transfer of particle flow around the ELCT is numerical studied. The kinetic energy ratio, contact number, contact time and heat transfer coefficient are analyzed.
