Abstract
HIV enters the CNS early after peripheral infection, establishing reservoirs in perivascular macrophages that contribute to development of HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND) in 15-40% of people with HIV (PWH) despite effective antiretroviral therapy (ART).
