( R )-1-[3-(Trifluoromethyl)phenyl]ethanol (( R )-MTF-PEL) is an important chiral building block for the synthesis of a neuroprotective compound, ( R )-3-(1-(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)ethoxy)azetidine-1-carboxamide.
