Abstract
Highly absorbent alginate/polyethylene oxide submicron fibers containing the hydrophilic model drug tetracycline hydrochloride were prepared through centrifugal spinning. Pre-treatment with ethanol before crosslinking with calcium chloride solution maintained the structure of submicron fibers.
