Abstract
Dissimilar transient liquid phase (TLP) bonding between stainless steel 310 and Inconel 617 was carried out using a BNi-2 interface layer. TLP joints were fabricated at 1040, 1070 and 1100 °C for a bonding time of 60 min. In addition to microstructural evaluations, the mechanical properties of different TLP joints were also studied.
