Abstract
Purpose Pregnancy-associated plasma protein A (PAPPA) is a metalloproteinase initially described for its role during pregnancy. PAPPA regulates IGF ligands 1 (IGF1) bioavailability through the degradation of IGF-binding protein 4 (IGFBP4).
