Abstract
Asgard archaea are newly described microbes that are related to eukaryotes. Asgards are diverse and globally distributed, however, their viruses have not been described. Here we characterize seven viral genomes that infected Lokiarchaeota, Helarchaeota, and Thorarchaeota in deep-sea hydrothermal sediments.
