Abstract
Herein, a defective zeolite–carbon (CFR@HZSM-5) nanocomposite-supported nano-scale Pd catalyst (Pd/CFR@HZSM-5) was facilely synthesized for selective “H2-free” hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) of vanillin (VL) under mild conditions.
