Abstract
SiC nanowires (SiCnws) modified SiCf/HfC-SiC composites were prepared by precursor infiltration and pyrolysis (PIP) and chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) methods. The microstructure, flexural strengths, impact and impact-ablation tests of the composites with and without SiCnws were investigated.
