Abstract
• A method of considering rocking of rigid foundation is proposed for NLSSI analysis of base-isolated nuclear facility based on two-step ASCE4-16 method. • A refined time-domain NLSSI analysis to a design earthquake in Korea has been performed for base-isolated nuclear structure using BRM and ANSYS software. • Responses obtained using the proposed technique compares very well with those of the refined time-domain NLSSI analysis.
