Abstract
Acquiring new DNA allows the emergence of drug resistance in bacteria. Some Pasteurellaceae and Neisseriaceae species preferentially take up specific sequence tags. The study of such sequences is therefore relevant. They are over-represented in the genomes of the corresponding species.
