Abstract
Thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) is a clinical and morphological syndrome, which is based on damage of the endothelium. Clinically, TMA is characterized by a triad of symptoms: thrombocytopenia, microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, and target organ damage.
