Background: There is no current literature examining the impact of gender on the prevalence, valve morphology, phenotype, progression and outcomes in pediatric and young adult patients with bicuspid aortic valve (BAV). Methods: We identified all children and young adults (≤ 22 years) diagnosed with BAV from 1990-2016 at the Mayo Clinic.
