Abstract
This paper demonstrates fabrication of silica-shell-coated magnetic nanoparticle clusters (SMNCs) and subsequent surface engineering of SMNCs to produce surface-modified SMNCs that have zwitterionic and primary amine ligands (SMNC-ZW/Am).
