Abstract
SAMHD1 is a fundamental regulator of cellular dNTPs that catalyzes their hydrolysis into 2'-deoxynucleoside and triphosphate, restricting the replication of viruses, including HIV-1, in CD4+ myeloid lineage and resting T-cells.
