Abstract
Strain rate sensitivities of Graphite/Epoxy and Graphite/Peek laminate composites are investigated by measuring their stress-strain response at strain rates of 0.001/s, 0.1/s, and 400/s. Tension specimens of the composite laminates are fabricated in a dog-bone shape. Stress-strain data at quasi-static rates of 0.001/s and 0.1/s are obtained using a servohydraulic test system.
