The facile and rapid microwave-assisted method has been demonstrated to be effective in synthesizing manganese fluoride (MnF2) nanoparticles in binary mixtures of ethylene glycol and imidazolium-based ionic liquid containing fluorine, within a minute, without any surfactant and stabilizer.
