Abstract
During the maternal-to-zygotic transition (MZT), multiple mechanisms precisely control massive decay of maternal mRNAs. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is known to regulate mRNA decay, yet how this modification promotes maternal transcript degradation remains unclear.
