A functionalized tannin-chitosan bentonite composite with superior adsorption capacity for Cr(VI)
Abstract
A novel functionalized tannin-chitosan bentonite composite (TCBC) was successfully synthesized. The formation of the composite was confirmed by the X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis. The pH pzc of TCBC was 3.38.
