Abstract
Asthma is commonly misdiagnosed because there is no agreed gold standard. The National Institute of Clinical Excellence UK (NICE) recommends including the measurement of fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) in the diagnostic algorithm for asthma in adults.
