Abstract
Aminophenylbenzimidazole derivative of theonyl trifluoro acetone has been designed, synthesized and characterized to sense Cu(II) and fluoride ions. The probe showed very selective colorimetric and ratiometric fluorescence changes with copper(II), turn-on fluorescence behavior with fluoride ions.
